A Staunch Advocate for the Criminally Charged

My interest in becoming a Texas criminal defense lawyer began in law school, when I was selected by one of my professors to assist her in researching the ineffectiveness of criminal defense counsel. Working on that project opened my eyes to a system in peril-and in need of major reform. In addition, I experienced how often the rights of someone accused of a crime were violated. I knew that I wanted to serve as an advocate to the criminally charged; using my knowledge, skills, and experience to protect their rights.

Following law school, I began working as an Assistant District Attorney for the Harris County District Attorney's office. I handled thousands of misdemeanor and felony cases, which exposed me to a broad spectrum of charges ranging from Class C misdemeanor traffic violations to First Degree aggravated robberies. I was trained extensively on case preparation and evaluation methods, which I incorporate into my private practice in order to provide a high degree of service and defense.
